ITANAGAR, Oct 3:   Slamming the state government for remaining tight-lipped on the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 (TRP), the state’s lone regional political party Peoples Party of Arunachal (PPA) claimed that despite all sections of people in the state voicing their serious concerns, the government is yet to come up with a concrete plan of action.

In its press statement, PPA further claimed that most of the senior Cabinet Ministers were not taken into confidence and the issue of TRP was never discussed among the legislators prior to its introduction in the cabinet meeting.

The regional party also urged the BJP led state government to immediately rollback letter No. POL/Tibetan-428/2017/395 dated 09/08/2017 issued by the Political Department, Govt. of A.P for implementation of Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014.

Requesting all legislators cutting across party lines to remain united on the refugee issue, the PPA also sought  a separate Department of Refugees to monitor, check and record the movement of the refugees within the territory of the state.
