ITANAGAR, Aug 31: Reacting to the press statement of state BJP President Tapir Gao on Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy, the state’s lone regional party and once allies of BJP under NEDA, Peoples Party of Arunachal today slammed Gao for his poor vision about the future of the state. 

In its press statement, General Secretary PPA, Kaling Jerang also stated that Gao must know that states like Himachal Pradesh, Karnataka, Odisha and Chhattisgarh are not constitutionally protected like the state of Arunachal Pradesh.

PPA also cautioned the Chief Minister Pema Khandu led BJP Government not to undermine the historical facts that Arunachal is a cent percent protected state under Bengal Regulation Frontier Act, 1873 and Chin Hills Regulation,1876.

The fact is that there has been a mad rush to implement the Tibetan Rehabilitation Policy 2014 all of a sudden. Since this Policy is being reviewed every 20 years in the country, why has this Tibetan issue been never discussed and debated in the Arunachal State Assembly, questioned PPA.

This attempt of the BJP led government to implement the policy by ignoring the sentiments of the indigenous tribal people of the state will be considered nothing less than "Political imposition" and "cultural, spiritual and psychological aggression" against the people of this state, asserted the PPA General Secretary.
