PASIGHAT, Oct 6:  In a crucial meeting of district administration with corporate and business agencies on Thursday, East Siang DC, Tamiyo Tatak declared Pasighat to Bodak, Mebo-Aohali, Ruksin, Bilat, Pangin Road as 'No Plastic and Garbage Zone' as part of the development of Smart City, Pasighat.

While strictly emphasizing on compulsory contribution from corporate and business players from the district in the process, Tatak called for their contribution in sponsoring banners and signboards to be displayed along the route to generate awareness.

In this zone, littering will now lead to prosecution of violators as per law. Also meat vendors have been asked to relocate to the 2 Mile APMC market, with October 7 being the last date.

Various beautification measures were also discussed.
