YINGKIONG, Aug 28:Panchayat Sammelan under the aegis of District Panchayat was organized at DC’s conference hall on August 25 last. All the PRI members right from GPM to ZPM of Yingkiong block participated in the Sammelan and had a threadbare discussion on New India by 2022.

Deputy Commissioner, Duly Kamduk exhorted the District HoDs to prepare the schemes in consultation with PRI members for transparency and accountability of schemes. He asked the District HoDs to issue directive to their subordinates posted at outpost administrative centres to disseminate the departmental schemes especially to the youth enabling them to avail the benefit. 

Talking about Swachh Bharat Abiyan, he urged the PRI members and officers to motivate the people for construction of compulsory Individual Household Latrines. Further, he urged the PRI members to generate awareness to the people of their respective segments not to use bleaching powder, generator, explosives etc in rivers.

ADC cum DPDO, Tapik Pertin suggested the PRI members to prepare inclusive schemes of 29 subjects under ‘My Village, My Development’.  ZPM Bading Teng and other HoDs also spoke on the occasion.
