ITANAGAR, Jan 11: After overwhelming response of its earlier editions, the third edition of ‘Pakke –Paga Festival -2018’ is back with an aim to raise awareness on conservation of  wildlife from  January  18 to 20  next  at Seijosa, East Kameng district.

‘Pakke Paga Festival is the lone festival of the state celebrated in Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary & Pakke Tiger Reserve to create awareness on conservation of wildlife specially Hornbill,’ informed Festival Secretary  Basang Wage  at press club today.

The Pakke Wildlife Sanctuary offers visitors the chance to witness four species of Hornbills; Great Indian hornbill, Wreathed hornbill, Oriental Pied hornbill and Rufous- necked hornbill claimed to be found only in the area, he added.

He also informed that, the other high point of the festival is the adoption of Hornbill nest. One can adopt a hornbill nest with minimum contribution of Rs 6000 for the care and rearing of the particular nest.
