ITANAGAR, Dec 2:

Dambuk, the picturesque valley of Lower Dibang valley is all set to welcome 7-time Grammy nominated German electronic band, Tangerine Dream and renowned guitarist cum song writer, Richiw Kotze as the headlining artist at the 4th edition of the Orange Festival of Adventure & Music that will kickstart fromDecember 15 to 18 next.

Founded in 1967, Tangerine Dream is a band from West Berlin which is also considered as pioneer in electronic music with over 140 albums and DVDs in fifty years. While Richiw Kotzen is an acclaimed guitarist, who played for legendary bands like Poison, Mr. Big and Winery Dogs.

 

Keeping its promise of extraordinary live acts, this year the OFAM organizers has managed to put together an extraordinary lineup of Indian artistes like the F16s,Fiddler Green, Uday Benegal, Weirdo-the story of Five Eight including locals artistes to enthrall the audience.

Also to cater to the younger generation of motorsport enthusiasts or adventure sports lover, thrilling adventure sports like river rafting, dirt biking, ATV rides in the forest  including Zip lining. To add to the fun, local tribal sports like archery, angling, tribal house building, orange plucking and forest food walks are in store for visitors.

“We are trying our best to make OFAM even better than its previous edition. This year we have not only added spectacular array of rock bands in the lineup, but increased the adventure activities also,” informed Director,(OFAM), Abu Tayeng in a press conference held this afternoon at press club.

 

This year OFAM will be even more epic as for the first time in north east we are holding the “orange motocross fury”, where the best motocross riders of the country will compete to win the coveted title, disclosed Tayeng.

He said that they are bringing back the most popular event, JK Tyre 4x4 fury, an off-roading competition in which top clubs from all over the country will return to Dambuk to challenge each other in the event.

“Country’s best free style show jumper, Gourav Khatri will join the event and will perform best of his stunts,” added Tayeng appealing all adventure junkies and music lovers to attend the festival to have a larger than life experience.
