ITANAGAR, Dec 30:

 

The State National People’s Party (NPP) has welcomed the handing over of multi-crore PDS scam to CBI by the Pema Khandu led BJP Government for investigation.

 

Praising Khandu for the bold step to hand over the PDS scam case to the CBI, the NPP hoped that the CBI will thoroughly investigate the entire episodes of PDS scam and book the culprits who have been continuously taking the state and its people to ransom.

 

The party also stated that corruption is rampant in every department which needs proper vigilance to check.

 

Government officers accumulate huge assets in short span of time which is disproportionate to their salaries. There are many vigilance cases pending against the officers under the Chief Vigilance Officer, the NPP said urging the government to strengthen the Vigilance Cell.
