ITANAGAR, Sep 11:  Yachuli MLA and Parliamentary Secretary Likha Saaya today inspected the office of the Divisional Commissioner, DIGP (West) and the residence here.

He was accompanied by ZPM Yachuli Joram Anya, ZPM Pistana Neelam Mangha, Yazali ZPM Taba Tachi, BJYM general secretary Joram Tat and officers and locals of the area.

While inspecting the areas he said “the office will be functioning soon but the formal programme or official inauguration will be held on November 7. Talking about the infrastructure development, he said the offices, house and furniture of the commissioners and the staffers are also complete and if they want to start the work anytime he can assume the charge.

He said the approach road to the commissioner is already their but we decided to make it a four lane road for that the widening process is on progress and will be completed within 10 days and the process of street lights, divider, pathway drainage will take another 10 days, the process of approach road will be completed within 20 days, officers told me”.

This divisional commissioner is not for the people of the Yachuli only but for the people of the western parliamentary constituency in which people from the entire 33 constituency ill come here.

The improvement of this highway to four-lane standard would surely bring in prosperity and development of the region and remove the traffic congestion, MLA said.

Saaya while expressing his gratitude to the committee head Rebia for making a quick assessment and subsequently giving a positive nod in support of Yachuli, went on to heap praises on the incumbent government and its leadership such as Chief Minister Pema Khandu, Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein and the entire state cabinet for working towards establishing the Divisional Commissioner and DIGP (West) office at Yachuli.

This is like a dream come true which has been awaited for the last 19 years. This is not only mine dream but this is the dream of the entire locals of the Yachuli constituency, he said.

Earlier in the day a review committee meeting was also held to start the preparation for formalizing the functioning of the Divisional Commissioner and DIGP (West) office at Yachuli by November 7.

In the meeting the house proposed MoS home Kirren Rijiju as chief patron, Minister Urban Development and Land Management Nabam Rebia, minister PHE Bamang Felix and chief information commissioner Joram Begi as partron.

Tage Taki and T Murtem proposed vice chairmen.

CE PHE &WS Toko Jyoti, CE UD Taba Tedir, NES, TSD, ANSU, AYSU and YCEF as advisory board member.

Joram Salak secretary and Toko Puna as vice chairmen.
