ITANAGAR, Oct 24:Vice Chairman, Niti Aayog Dr. Rajiv Kumar called on the Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan, Itanagar today wherein the duo discussed on various issues of the State, particularly connectivity, security, health and education.

The Governor emphasised that the State of Arunachal Pradesh due to its many inherent peculiarities needs more support than other States of the region. He reiterated his concern for the people in border areas and the need for their viable support.

The Governor emphasised for special aid and assistance from Niti Aayog to address the issues of security, connectivity, communication and projects for the enhancement of the revenue of the State.

Taking up the cause of the State, the Governor advocated for technical and financial assistances to the State to harness its potential in hydropower, tourism, horticulture and organic produces.

The Governor said that Arunachal Pradesh wants to be a contributing state in the development of the nation, therefore Niti Aayog should facilitate its time bound development.
