ITANAGAR Oct 28:

 

Education Minister Honchun Ngandam had to be airlifted after an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) scare during Longding District BJP Executive Meeting at Wakka.  On Saturday, Ngandam took off from Wakka at 1415 hrs and landed at Longding around 1430 hrs then he proceeded to Pongchau by road. 

 

'On Friday, Army and civil police were deployed and the entire area was sanitised after inputs were received of IED being planted by underground elements active in the Pathak region,' said a source.

 

Nobody has identified the source but place was identified as Ngiisa village between Wakka and Nginu village under Wakka administrative circle.
