GUWAHATI, Oct 30:The North East Frontier Railway (NFR) is going to observe the 127th birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhai Patel with huge pomp on Tuesday at its main headquarters,  Kamakhya Railway station , wherein General Manager, N F Railway Chahatey Ram will flag-off a 1km marathon race themed “Run for Unity” to mark the day.

The marathon race will start from Maligaon gate no 1 and pass through A T road, Maligao Chariali , covering a distance  of 1.0km to end at Kamakhya station. Large number of sportspersons of N F Railway sports association, scouts and guides, officials and staffers along with people from all walks of life are expected to participate. Winners of the run will be given prizes after the competition.

 

Similar programs will also held in its key stations, where its respective divisional railway mangers will administer the pledge  to officers and lead the race.
