ITANAGAR, Jul 24: The new Central Executive Committee (CEC) of Confederation of Service Associations of Arunachal Pradesh (CoSAAP)submitted a 10-point charter of demands to Chief Minister Pema Khandu today at his office chamber.
The team conveyed the resentments expressed by the entire state government employees pertaining to non-implementation of all allowances of 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC) for the state government employees although some of the important allowances have been granted to all India Service officers serving in the state.
Therefore, president (CoSAAP) Pate Marik urged the CM to grant the allowances as per the recommendation of 7th CPC at the earliest.
At the same time, he requested the CM to direct the Chief Secretary for immediate conduct of High Level Standing Committee (HLSC) meeting pertaining to pay anomalies of various cadres of employees in 16 departments, which were notified to be conducted twice on June 7 and 30, 2018 but could not be held.
After a patient hearing, the CM congratulated the newly elected CEC team to shoulder the responsibilities of welfare of the State government employees.
“State government employees are permanent body of the government and they should carry out their duties with utmost sincerity and dedication with a view to improving work culture,” said the CM.
He also asked the Head of Departments to emphasis on the timely conduct of Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) and immediate issue of orders after DPC, so that no employee is deprived of timely promotion and other benefits.
Regarding the demands, CoSAAP informed in a release that the CM assured to look into every point and has directed the concerned departments to submit proposals in detail with financial implications which will be placed in the Cabinet for discussion and fruitful decisions.
