DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
ITANAGAR, Dec 3: Reacting to the state government’s response regarding its demands, Nyishi Elite Society today clarified that allocation of Rs.3.50 crore for the Heritage Village at Hoj could have been done much earlier under SADA/SIDF in anticipation of the finalization of the budget 2017-18 as is usually done for speedy implementation of the over delayed project which is a paltry amount for the government.
While reacting on Pakke-Kessang district, NES stated that administrative approval was already accorded on 19th April 2017 and is undergoing delaying tactics. In a joint sitting on 20thOctober 2017, CM informed about a fresh complaint against creation of Pakke-kessang district but till date NES could not get the copy of the complaint, it said in a release.
On construction of Greenfield Airport at Hollongi, NES claimed that government made a misleading statement that the AAI team is visiting Hollongi from November 30 to December 5, whereas, as per letter No.DCA/ALG/Inspection/2016-17 dated 30th November 2017, the team of AAI Inspection team headed by SP Biswas, Jt. GM (CNS) from December 1-3 neither Hollongi figured in their itinerary nor have they actually inspected the proposed Greenfield Airport, Hollongi.
Regarding Trans Arunachal Highway (TAH) the compensation process is yet to be completed and lot of complaints have been lodged for under payment and lack of transparency in the compensation distribution.
While replying on the Sainik School issue, NES stated that establishment of cantonment is decided on strategic location for defence purposes and it cannot be equated with the establishment of Sainik School.
On the infamous ‘dog’ remark, NES countered that the leadership should have come out clearly on the matter. The popular sentiment must not be wrongly construed as communal politics; otherwise, it would be a Himalayan blunder on the part of the leadership, it said in a press release.
