DOIMUKH, Nov 10:The 2nd National Conference of North-East India Commerce and Management Association (NEICMA) with theme, “Sustainable Rural Livelihood: Emerging Dimensions” successfully inaugurated here today at Rajiv Gandhi University’s Auditorium.
Professor, N.B. Dey, Special Invitee, Emeritus Professor of commerce, Assam University, Silchar, released NEICMA Journals on the inaugural ceremony.
Chief Guest, Regional Manager, NABARD, Gyanendra Mani, released the conference proceedings and further cited the need to consider the climate related factors in formulating and executing any developmental plans. He pressed on keeping a balanced approach of development while keeping close watch on climate change.
NEICMA President, professor, Pranjal Bezborah, in his presidential speech said that the motive behind forming such association is to disseminate knowledge about the economics with special context of North-east.
The department of commerce is organizing the two day conference, which will end on Saturday. Delegates and members of NEICMA from all over the North-Eastern States participaited in the inaugural ceremony of the two-day programme.
