DIRANG, Oct 26: Devender Kumar of Himachal Pradesh finished the distance of 63 km from Rupa to Dirang in just 2 hr 32 minutes today in the 4th day of Tawang MTB Challenge 2017.

He was followed by Yogesh Kumar from Haryana and Ahaonda Menjo from Arunachal Pradesh in second and third place respectively.  

Altogether 35 cyclists from India and abroad are participating in the competition.  

Earlier in the morning, the competition was flagged off by SDO, Rupa in presence of Director Youth Affairs DK Dinglow amidst host of departmental officers & public this morning from Government HS School Ground, Rupa.

It was a tough challenge for the riders to cover near about 61 km high altitude of more than 9000 from Rupa moor up to Bomdila and finished at Dirang.

The officer & officials of NIMAS headed by SM received the organising team including the riders at finish point at ITBP HQ, Dirang. NIMAS has arranged all kind of hospitality including fooding, lodging etc for the whole team.

On Friday at 0800 hrs, Kento Riba, ADC, Dirang will flag off the competition here from tri-junction of NIMAS.
