NEW DELHI, Aug 23:Minister TP & ULBs, Nabam Rebia, who is in the national capital on Wednesday attended an open discussion meeting on Smart City at the office chamber of Mission Director of  Smart Cities in presence of group of officers and experts in the Ministry of Urban Development Nirman Bhawan, New Delhi.

During the meeting, Rebia put forward his views and opined that Itanagar has the potential to become a tourist hub and explained the difficulties and advantages to the house.

 He also answered various queries raised by the team of officers of the Ministry and assured to submit a full report of the same in the revised proposal.

Meanwhile the representative of Ministry of Urban Development has assured that the Smart City Proposal for Itanagar will be considered as a special case.

 Following positive assurance received from the Ministry, the Minister immediately directed the Smart City Itanagar consultant team to meet up the queries as raised, so that the final proposal could be submitted to the Ministry at an early date for consideration.

 Principal Secretary Coordination, Jitendra Narayan, Director TP & ULBs, Amoy Morang, Advisor to CM, KC Dimole and Er Tadar Tarang Executive Engineer IMC accompanied the Minister during the meeting.
