ITANAGAR, Nov 12:The annual general meeting of Don Bosco Alumni (DBA), Dimapur Provincial Federation which consists of Arunachal, Upper Assam, Nagaland and Manipur was held here at Tadar Taniang Hall, DBYC, Vivek Vihar in which the executive members of DBA from the various units participated.  The meeting which is an annual feature wherein important policy decisions are made regarding the organization and its activities was hosted by DBA Arunachal Pradesh under the leadership of Er. Kago Tabiyo, President DBA Arunachal Pradesh.

Speaking at the occasion, DBA Provincial President, Rajesh Singh, who is also the President of Lions Club, Dibrugarh, gave an overview of DBA and the way in which members can enter into meaningful activities.  He called upon the delegates to concentrate on the charism of Don Bosco and take up activities for young people, especially those at risk and poor children. 

Interacting with the delegates as senior alumni, Takam Sanjoy, made many practical suggestions to keep alive the association and to continue with all the youth and poor-friendly activities which is the hallmark of Don Bosco and Salesians.  He opined that every DB Alumnus must feel obliged to pay back to society and young people for the education they have received due to the generosity of others.  Sanjoy also assured all assistance to DBA in carrying out its humanitarian activities.

Fr. CM Joseph, former Provincial Delegate, Fr. Mathai, Parish Priest, Itanagar and Fr. Cyriac, Provincial Delegate for DBA also spoke on the occasion and interacted with the members. 

The members resolved to keep alive the charism of Don Bosco which is primarily for young people and children who are poorer.
