DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
DAMBUK, Dec 17:
Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein inspected the ongoing construction work of approach road to Sisar (Sisiri) Bridge from Aohali Village along NH-52 (East Siang portion) which is a part of Trans-Arunachal Highway on his way to attend the fourth edition of OFAM 2017 at Dambuk today.
Stressing that this portion of road is vital for inter-linking the districts in the eastern sectors, Mein asked the National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited, General Manager, Vivek Srivastav to expedite the construction works.
The deputy chief minister was shocked at the fact that a short span bridge over Sisar river could not be completed even after 10 years in execution where as the long bridge over Dibang is set to finish within 4-5 years.
He asked Deputy Commissioners of both East Siang and Lower Dibang Valley Districts to expedite and complete the land acquisition process as early as possible for immediate construction of the approach road on both sides of the bridge.
Vivek Srivastav, GM NHIDCL informed that earth cutting for 1 km portion of the approach road to the bridge is still left and expansion work of road from Aohali Village and approach road from Dambuk will be started as soon as the land acquisition is completed.
Parliamentary Secretary for WRD, Gum Tayeng, was present among others.
