ITANAGAR, Nov 6:The Executive Committee Members of All Arunachal Pradesh Government Registered Contractors’ Organization headed by its President, Sama Dodum called on the Deputy Chief Minister, Chowna Mein in his office here today.

Deputy Chief Minister while responding to their four point memorandum said that their grievances regarding extension of revalidation of enlistment of contractors from 3-5 years, relaxation of late fee, enlistment and revalidation processing fee and cancellation of enlistment system seems to be genuine as the state government have not revisited the Enlistment Rules of the PWD Contractors since its enactment so far.

He said that there is a possibility of revisiting the issues and get it amended if there are lacunas in it as some of the central government rules like CPWD manual also gets amended from time to time.

‘Ours is a people friendly government and we wish to see that the local contractors and youths of the state flourish in every field,’ he said while assuring to take up the matter to the State Cabinet, the highest policy making body of the state, for consideration as per the latest CPWD manual.       

 On the occasion four-point memorandum was submitted to the Deputy Chief Minister and the team also shared the grievances faced by the contractors of the State.     

Parliamentary Secretary for PWD, Techi Kaso, Commissioner PWD, Bilatee Pertin and Chief Engineer (CSQ), Kuru Sera were also present on the occasion
