ITANAGAR, Oct 16:A total of 450 participants took part in the maiden Late Jarbom Gamlin marathon held today. The event held under the aegis of the All Arunachal Pradesh Students Union (AAPSU) was organized as part of its Golden Jubilee celebrations. 

The marathon was flagged-off by AAPSU President Hawa Bagang from RG Stadium, Naharlagun.

In the men’s category, Bamo Tawang no. 347 won the top slot with a timing of 5.48/6.21, while Karbu Kena and Kogum Potom came second and third.

In the women's category, Shyamali Singh, who came all the way from West Bengal specifically for the event took away the top prize.
