ITANAGAR, Nov 15: Governor BD Mishra has conveyed his warm greetings to all the members of Arunachal Press Club on the occasion of National Press Day.

In his message, the Governor said that the Media is now the nerve centre of our society. While disseminating information to the people, Media is playing a vital and benevolent role in all walks of our life. With its commitment to uphold truth, probity and objectivity, the Media is helping in building up a just and corruption free society. He expressed hope that this occasion will inspire all members of Arunachal Press to maintain highest standards of news reporting professionalism and constructive journalism.

The Media must continue to raise voice against terrorism and preservation of environment. Special attention should be paid by the Media for the well-being of the women, children and downtrodden, the Governor emphasised.
