TAWANG, Aug 6:The 4th Dorjee Khandu Memorial district level Badminton tournament culminated at Lumla badminton stadium. 

Attending the colourful valedictory ceremony as the chief guest, Tawang MLA, Tsering Tashi recalled the contribution of former Chief Minister Dorjee Khandu in promotion and development of badminton in Arunachal Pradesh.

Tashi, who also sponsored the tourney alongwith Chief Minister Pema Khandu and Lumla MLA Jambey Tashi, hoped the sporting event shall unearth raw talents and will do the nation and state proud in international arena.

LSC dominated the shuttling event as it made it to the finals of all the 5 events of the shuttling event and clinched the men's double, mixed double and veteran's double title while standing runners up in men's single and women's double, which LSC missed by a whisker. JSC emerged the runners up pocketing the men's single and women's double title and stood runners up of mixed double and women's double while MSC and TPS had to contend with runners up trophies of men's double and veteran's double respectively.
