BASAR, Oct 6:

 

Newly appointed Deputy Commissioner of Lower Siang, AK Singh made his maiden visit to Basar on Friday. The first ever coordination meetings under Lower Siang were conducted at Conference Hall of ADC Basar where he interacted with Head of Departments including public and PRI members separately.

 

           

In the morning shift, Deputy Commissioner interacted with HoDs and officers where all the flagship programmes of the government were discussed thoroughly including the delivery system of the programme. Explaining his agenda on priority basis, DC urged all stakeholders to cooperate in maintaining law and order. Later he put much emphasis on education and Health sector. All HoDs put forth their programmes being implemented in their respective departments. Construction company Shivam, JKM and TKE also attended the meeting.

 

           

In the afternoon, the Deputy Commissioner conducted another coordination meeting with the Public and Panchayati Raj Institute members. The public and PRI members of Basar present one point resolution to DC for speedy expedition for creation of Leparada district. Citing the example of losing Agriculture and Forestry College which is now at Pasighat, ANM Nursing Institute now at Aalo and lastly District headquarters, people of Basar claimed themselves the aggrieved party and requested the government to have sympathy towards the people of Basar.

            Additional Deputy Commissioner Basar, T. Bage and Extra Assistant Commissioner Basar, Er. Horki Diyum also addressed the gathering.
