ITANAGAR, Dec 7: The 3rd state task force for immunization (STFI) meeting was conducted at RCH training hall of National Health Mission Office today to review the ongoing intensified Mission Indradanush and preparedness of Measles Rubella campaign which is slated to begin from February 2018. The meeting was attended by Director Family Welfare, K Lego, Deputy Director DFW and other senior medical officers.
Chairing the meeting, Mission Director (NHM) Tapasaya Raghav categorically said, Longding and Papumpare District need to work harder to improve immunization coverage and pointed out the urban area should be given equal focus as well.
We need to own the programme, she said and stressed on ensuring proper head counting and reporting and mobilization of ASHA and Anganwadi. Convergence with line department and NGO should be build up to achieve the desired goal. The monitoring team should ensure to inform the beneficiary to keep the MCP card for the purpose of any GoI survey, she added.
She informed that Health Minister GoI has informed the office about Prime Minister Award which will be given to those districts, who will achieve 90%. Meanwhile, she exhorted the district to improve the immunization coverage and vie for this coveted award.
Nodal Officer, NHM, Dr D Padung giving detail information on ongoing IMI and preparedness of Measles Rubella campaign informed that first step of preparedness for MR is already completed and workshop is being conducted in all the districts in this regard.
‘During 3rd round of IMI, we need to put our concerted effort, so that no child is missed out,’ he said. He further added that should be analyzed properly and collated and shared with the concern department.
