TEZU, Jan 8: Deputy Commissioner Lohit, Karma Leki, reviewed the preparation for Makar Sankranti at Parshuram Kund at Wakro today. Briefing the department concerned  engaged for various public convenience works at the Mela site,  the DC appreciated the progress of the work such as road and public amenities.

 Mela Officer, Dakto Riba, EAC Wakro, gave an overview of preparation and opined that more number of devotees will visit the holy site seeing the road condition and arrangements made by the district administration this year.

Multimedia and social media campaign by District Informatics Dept and Tourism dept under the initiative of DC Lohit will definitely draw the attention of people worldwide to Lohit valley at Brahmakund on the eve of Makar Sankranti.

Free Wi-Fi facility at Mela ground, NDRF Team at bathing ghat for public safety, Local cuisine and outing at Glow lake are some of the new additions this year.
