YINGKIONG, Dec 3:Chief Minister Pema Khandu today inaugurated the 218 metre Nubo bridge over River Siang. Deputy Chief Minister Chowna Mein, RD Minister Alo Libang, State BJP President Tapir Gao, Geku-Mariyang MLA Olom Panyang, DC Duly Kamduk and other dignitaries attended the inauguration function.

The steel cable suspension bridge is situated about 14 km from Yingkiong, and will connect various circles and sub-divisional headquarters under Upper Siang district situated on both the banks of the river.

The Chief Minister also took part in the tree plantation drive near the bridge. He appreciated the working agencies – PWD and GPT Infraproject Ltd for their quality work. The bridge was built at the cost of Rs 3278 lakhs.

The Chief Minister earlier took part in the inauguration ceremony of a new BJP office here. State BJP President inaugurated the office.
