ITANAGAR, Oct 27:Curtains were drawn on the day long state level “Kala Utsav”-2017,  an initiative of Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), to promote artistic talents amongst students of the secondary section, which concluded on a colourful note at BSG, Polo Colony, Naharlagun.

In the music competition, GHSS Naharlagun, Papumpare district bagged the first prize and Government Higher Secondary School, Namshu, West Kameng district came first in the Visual Arts competition. The GNMHSS Aalo, West Siang district was adjudged the winner in dance category and GHSS Roing, Lower Dibang Valley district won the first place in the theater competition.

Earlier, the district level “Ustav” was held on September last in 10 districts of the state, wherein students of classes 9, 10, 11 and 12 from various government higher secondary schools participated which was organized by Rashtriya Madhaymik Shiksha Abhiya (RMSA).  Later the winners and runner ups of respective districts were selected to compete at the state level.
