BOMDILA, Sep 20:Jigaon Hydro Electric Project of 50x2 KW was inaugurated today at Jigaon by Speaker Legislative Assembly, Er TN Thongdok with huge gathering of local residents including Deputy Comissioner West Kameng, Dr Sonal Swaroop and SP P.N Khrimey.

This Micro Hydel project will provide 24x7 power supply to Jigaon and Musaksing villages having over 100 Households.

 The Speaker expressed his deep gratitude to the Chief Minister Pema Khandu for his generous support and providing constant fund for timely completion of the project. He also expressed gratitude to Minister Power Tamiyo Taga, for all round support.

He also profusely thanked and congratulated all the Hydro Power officers who have worked very hard for the successful completion of the project.

 He also declared that over 40000 MW of Hydro Electric projects entered into MoU with various private and CPSU’s the first ever project to be commissioned will be Dikshi Hydro electric project of 24MW targeted for completion in March 2018.

 ‘Commissioning of Kameng Hydro Electric Project of 600 MW, Pare Hydro electric project of 110 MW, 24 MW of Dikshi Hydro electric project and 1MW of Domkhrong Micro Hydro Project will stabilise power in the state and especially for the 5-Kalaktang assembly constituency electricity will be much improved,’ he said.

The Speaker also emphasised that for first track development all round peace is important and exhorted people to cooperate with the Government.
