ITANAGAR, Nov 29: Director General, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force, IPS, RK Pachnanda, who is visiting the north eastern states to review level of security preparedness and deployment, recently visited  NE Frontier HQ, Itanagar where he discussed operational and administration matters with IG, NE Frontier in presence of various Battalion HQs and Formation commanders of North East region. 

During the meeting, Battalion Commanders briefed about the deployment and displayed the operational demonstration to the visiting DG. Further the ITBP chief interacted with the Jawans and emphasized for their vital and vigilant role towards nation’s security. 

After inspecting few sensitive locations and discussion over the typical issues with officials, he left for the national capital. 

It is pertinent to mentioned here that after joining ITBP as a Director General on 30th June 2017, Pachnanda, IPS has initiated various effective steps for the operational and administrative development and majorly for the welfare of the troops that too in a very short span of time.

The most challenging milestone of long awaited promotions in all ranks was immediately achieved which boosted the morale of the force, the ITBP release added.
