ITANAGAR, Sep 11:   Two temporary vending zones was inaugurated at Ganga Market, Itanagar today by the Deputy Commissioner Capital Complex, Prince Dhawan in presence of the Chief Councillor Kipa Kaku, Deputy Chief Councillor Tarh Nachung, Councillors, CMEO, MEE and a host of other officials. 

Speaking as the Chief Guest, the DC urged the vendors to work in coordination with each other. He informed that at the beginning, people had lot of apprehension regarding the vending zones, however vendors are an essential part of life as we are dependent on them for our daily needs and it is necessary that they have a proper identified area to function.

He directed the All Arunachal Pradesh Hawkers and Street Vendors Federation (AAPHSVF) not to allow mushrooming of such vendors at locations other than the designated ones.  The DC further hoped that the area would be well maintained by the vendors and also assured to provide cooperation from the District Administration. Stressing that it is important to recognise the services of the vendor, he also issued identity cards to the vendors.

The Chief Councillor also asked the vendors to work in coordination. She stressed that the sitting of the vendors should be rotation wise so that every vendor gets equal chance. She appreciated the DC for recognising the services of the vendors and hoped that it would go a long way in boosting the moral of the vendors.

The Deputy Councillor also appreciated the effort of the DC and further asked the vendors to work in cooperation and to keep the area clean. He also distributed dustbins during the programme.

Earlier Habung Lampung CMEO while welcoming everyone asked them to keep the place clean.
