BOMDILA, Oct 4: The District Consultative Committee & District Level Review Committee meeting held today at district headquarters Bomdila mainly centered on the all time low Credit-Deposit ratio at 17.64% and on the indifferent and undisciplined attitude of certain Branch Managers and employees of the State Bank of India in the district.
Taking strong exception of the visibly low CD ratio which had fallen from 18.62% to 17.64%, Deputy Commissioner Sonal Swaroop said that the same is also the concern of the state government. The Banks operating in the district need to gear up their activities with all seriousness and every possible effort should be made to increase the CD ratio, she added.
In order to make the Banks answerable, the DC directed all the Branch Managers to invariably submit monthly reports to the LDM and DC by 25thof every subsequent month detailing all the particulars.
Baffled over the unbecoming attitude of few Branch Managers and employees of SBI based upon regular complaints received from the public and officers alike and non-implementation of the PMEGP schemes even after the due date, the DC set October 15 next as the deadline for sanctioning the schemes under PMEGP by the concerned Banks.
