LONGDING, Aug 5:

 

A meeting of the district task force for immunization was held today under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner cum Chairman District Health Society, Himanshu Gupta at Longding with officials of DHS, PRIs leaders etc.

 

Addressing the gathering, the DC suggested health workers to give top priority to house to house visit during RI, IMI and measles catch up campaign while stressing that immunization report must be genuine and shared on weekly basis.

 

The DC assured to provide full logistics, transportation, other support and cooperation wherever needed for upcoming IPPI & MI 4th programme and advised the DDSE to introduce IEC quotation in all schools regarding importance IPPI and MI, village wise coverage and prior information to the villagers.

 

 

Giving an overview on various health activities and Measles catch up campaign, DRCHO Dr. Singpor Rigia confirmed that Measles outbreak at Konsa village has affected 95 out of which 5 resulted in death and asserted that another campaign will be started from August 11 to September 2 to cover entire Longding district.
