ZIRO, Nov 23: After two days of the fire incident which claimed the lives of five persons at Kudung Borang, Ziro on November 21 last, the identities of the victims have been established today.
As per inputs from the Superintendent of Police the victims have been identified as Basu Dorji and his wife Rita Dorji of Bihmari Madhupur Village, Behali, Thaneshwar Engti of Bihmari Bongang Village, Behali, John Fangso of Bihmari Bongang Village, Behali, District Biswanath, Assam, and Bola Bahadur Rai of Village No 1 ,Poolbari, Silapathar, Dhemaji, Assam.
Divisional Commissioner (West) Gamli Padu visited the fire accident sites at Hari and Kudung Borang to take stock of the relief and rehabilitation of victims today. He was accompanied by Deputy Commissioner Kemo Lollen, SP Bomge Kamduk, ZPC Hage Kobin, ADC Yachuli JT Obi, and DDMO Nima Drema.
Padu assured all assistance to speed up relief entitlements to the victims. At the same time he also urged all to be cautious and devise and adopt mechanisms to avoid fire mishaps.
While offering condolences to the five victims, he asked the DDMO to provide ex-gratia as per norms without any delay. He also donated some amount to the victims of both the accidents.
