PASIGHAT, Jan 10: Wildlife officials have raised concern over wildlife hunting being practised as a Hornbill was found dead with bullet injury. The Wreathed Hornbill (Rhyticeros Undulatus), a Schedule-I species under Wildlife Protection Act 1972, had fallen in the residential premises of East Siang Dy. Commissioner on Tuesday. Earlier, the birds death was suspected due to viral disease but D. Ering Wildlife Sanctuary Division, Borguli Range Officer, Kalen Panggeng informed that Post Mortem report revealed bullet injury.
