AALO, Dec 9: The Galo Welfare Society organised a day long connectivity seminar themed leveraging road connectivity in the Galo inhabited areas: issues, challenges and opportunities on the eve of 18th Galo Foundation Day at Gumin today.

The President GWS, Dr. JM Boje and Secretary Dr. Minge Loyi disclosed that there are many villages in the Galo inhabited areas which are not connected by road ends and effort is being made through the seminar to gather mass opinion to put the problems before the government through GWS.

The voice of the people like ‘No road no vote’ and many a bandh call given by the people for inordinate delay in the construction of Trans Arunachal Highway are mere manifestations of the pent up anger and disappointments people have been facing for a long period of time.

Communication holds key to development it is important to work out the road connectivity on priority basis, they said and expressed their gratitude to all for making the seminar a success.
Representatives from Dolok Bango under Kangku Circle, Lower Siang Elite Forum, Basar and senior members from Aalo took key part in the day long deliberations.
