ITANAGAR, Aug 23:Claiming that various schools across Aalo, West Siang District are yet to receive free textbooks, uniforms for the current academic session 2017-18, the United Students Federation of Aalo has requested the concern authority to immediately provide the genuine requirement to schools.

Disclosing that it had conducted a survey in all schools under Aalo recently to check teacher ratio, infrastructure and other basic amenities, the union urged the government to post subject teachers immediately at Government Higher Secondary School and Nehru Memorial Higher secondary School.

Shortage of drinking water facilities, lack of toilets and teachers quarters were also raised by the union.
