ITANAGAR, Oct 6: The Government Registered Contractors Association (GRCA) today sought the suspension of Deputy Commissioner capital complex, EE PWD Division A-Itanagar for issuing three PRCs and awarding contract works defying laid down norms to the proprietor of M/S BB Enterprises.

Addressing reporters at press club today, President GRCA, Miching Taying alleged that the district administration has misused official power and position by issuing three Permanent Resident Certificates (PRC) in an illegal manner to the proprietor of BB Enterprises, Bengia Bado for awarding contract works.

‘As per the District Entrepreneur Act of the state government, a person belonging to another district cannot  participate  in contact works of another district but defying all rules and with the support of fake certificate, Bado originally from Kurung Kumey District  participated in the tender process which is illegal. Moreover the firm is already engaged in construction of Fire Station in Koloriang amounting to Rs 2 crore,’ Taying claimed.

Seeking immediate cancellation of tender process, GRCA has also demanded suspension of the officials alleging nepotism.

When contacted, Proprietor of BB Enterprises Bengia Bado categorically termed the allegation as baseless and without an iota of truth.

Rebutting the allegation point wise, Bado informed that he has already surrendered the PRC of Koloriang before the Court of Executive Magistrate on May last so the point of dual PRC does not arise.

‘All my documents like PRC, Passport and Election ID are registered under Itanagar so there is nothing to hide or manipulate,’ he clarified.

Clarifying about the ongoing Fire Station construction works at Koloriang, Bado disclosed that only the power of attorney was given to one Karbu Bengia and he has nothing to do with the aforementioned work.

‘If I am wrong please drag me to court, there is a legal process but shouting in media that too without truth will not work,’ he asserted while adding that alleging the administration and government officer of nepotism is uncalled for.

Bado further informed reporters that his legal team will soon send ‘Show Cause Notice’ to the concern organization followed by a defamation lawsuit for defaming him and his reputed firm.
