DCM reviews hydropower projects to strengthen state energy roadmap
ITANAGAR, Dec 23:
‘Hamara Elan Swachhta aur Nari Utthan’- an initiative of the Raj Bhavan, Itanagar towards clean, green and plastic free Arunachal Pradesh for the New Year 2018 will start fromJanuary 8 next. For this cleanliness drive, the entire Capital Complex has been divided into 30 wards according to the population area and groups of four to five wards will be taken up for cleaning simultaneously.
The selected wards will be cleaned by the participants who will be led by the Governor BD Mishra himself. All officers of Raj Bhavan and eminent personalities, members of the District Administration and Itanagar Municipal Council and volunteer residents of the wards will be joining the programme.
To make the ‘Mission’ effective and result oriented, the door to door cleanliness awareness drive will also be started simultaneously. The ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Govt. of India has been requested by the Governor to be part of the Team, so that the message of the ‘Clean Itanagar’ reaches each and every individual and they take pride and resolve to keep the beautiful Capital City Itanagar clean and tidy.
