NEW DELHI, Oct 14:
Arunachal Governor BD Mishra emphasised on the need of constant interaction and concurrent exchange of ideas, cultures, opinions from all corners of the country. He was speaking at the inaugural of a two-day national convention on “Transforming North East India” which got underway at New Delhi today.
He further emphasised and urged that these ideas shall be implemented at the ground level soon.The convention being organized by Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (NGO), Mumbai, in association with Himalayan University of Arunachal Pradesh has the participation of overtwo dozen delegates from across the country.
The convention is focusing on issues pertaining to North Eastern States of India and recentinitiatives taken by the current regime towards social and economic inclusion not only by dint of better infrastructure, transportation, telecommunication, health, agriculture and education but also through cultural and traditional interactions.
Learned speakers conveyed their expertise and opinions for a viable roadmap towards strengthening bond of North Eastern States with that of other States of India.
Earlier, Chairman, Himalayan University, Hemant Goel delivered the welcome address.
Rambhau Mhalgi Prabodhini (RMP) is a United Nations Special Consultative status accorded NGO based in Thane near Mumbai and has been extensively involved in conducting such multifarious programmes through such conventions of erudite scholars.
