ITANAGAR, Oct 2:Governor PB Acharya graced the concluding function of ‘Vijay Hi Vijay’- a five-day State level Youth Leadership programme at Vivekananda Kendriya Vidhyalaya, Chimpu, Itanagar today. State’s First Lady Smt Kavita Acharya, Secretary to Governor Vinod P Kavle, Prant Sanchalak, Vivekananda Kendriya Arunachal Prant Dr Joram Begi, State Chief Information Commissioner, Prant Pramukh Dr. Tejum Padu, former Direct Higher Education were present on the occasion amongst others.
Speaking on the occasion, the Governor called the youth to contribute towards nation building. He advised them to inculcate skill and arm themselves with latest technologies to strengthen society.
Your education and degree must be useful to the society, the Governor underscored while stating that achievers must be giver. He said that youth of the day must be entrepreneurs and job givers. Be the game changers and don’t be mere spectators, he stressed.
The Governor advised the participants to uphold the spirit of secularism, equality, unity in diversity and oneness amongst the people.
Sense of patriotism is the first step. It should follow with action towards development of the nation. Our agenda should be to make India strong, peace and prosperous, he added.
The Governor commended the Vivekananda Kendriya, Kanyakumari for their service in education throughout the country.
In his welcome address, Prant Sanchalak, Vivekananda Kendriya Arunachal Prant Dr Joram Begi, State Chief Information Commissioner highlighted on the activities of the organization. He called upon the youth to carry forward the message of unity and service. To have a developed State, the youth have be successful first, Dr, Begi said.
In his brief report on the five-day State level Youth Leadership programme, Shivir Pramukh Gomar Basar informed that as a part of Vivekananda Kendriya activities, VK Arunachal Prant organizes youth leadership programme every alternate year. The aims and objective of the programme is to develop self-confidence, power of concentration, mind and body alignment and leadership quality.
Miss Jeny Don, Govt. College, Daporijo received the best participant award while Miss Pakter Yomgam, Jawaharlal Nehru College, Pasighat received the second prize and Miss Disamlu Krong from Govt College, Tezu received the third prize.
Organized by Vivekananda Kendriya, Kanyakumari, Arunachal Prant on the occasion of 150th birth anniversary of Sister Nivedita, 393 participants from 28 colleges and universities participated in the programme.
