ITANAGAR, Aug 31:Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have extended heartiest greetings to the people of the State on occasion of Solung Festival.

The Governor in his message said that the Solung Festival is the embodiment of Adi way of socio-cultural and religious life. The celebration keeps alive the ancient tradition of the community and at the same time helps the younger generation to have better appreciation not only of the relationship between man and nature, he said.    

Chief Minister Pema Khandu in his message said “I join my Adi brethren in celebrating the joyous festival of Solung. I congratulate and appreciate the spirit of my Adi brethrens for celebrating the traditional festival of Solung every year with joy and bonhomie".

Adding further, he said "Despite our varied diversity, we as Arunachalees are united and take pride in our indigenous cultural heritage. This cultural mosaic has to be maintained, preserved and propagated at all costs while keeping intact our unity in diversity. I believe this year’s Solung celebrations would prove a major catalyst towards achieving this goal”.
