ITANAGAR, Aug 14:Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed good wishes to people of the State on the auspicious occasion of
Janmashtami.
 
In his message, while exhorting the people towards peace and righteous way of life, the Governor said that on this auspicious festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna, let us strive to build a world
free from malice and full of brotherhood and compassion. 
 
In a message this evening, CM Khandu said that 15th August this year has become holier than ever as both Janmastami and India’s Independence Day is on the same day and called all to rejoice both with religious tolerance and immeasurable patriotism.
 
“Let’s celebrate the birth of Lord Krishna, the eighth avatar or Vishnu, with traditional and religious fervor. May Lord Krishna show us the way as he showed to Arjuna in the battle of Mahabharata. May his teachings in the Bhagwat Geeta lead us and Arunachal Pradesh to peace, progress and prosperity. Have a blessed Krishna Janmashtami!” Khandu added.
