ITANAGAR, Nov 3:Governor BD Mishra and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have conveyed warm greetings to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti. 

In his message, the Governor said that Guru Nanak ji, the founder of Sikh sangat showed all the path of spiritualism, justice and humanism. His messages of love and amity have always strengthened the splendid cultural fabric of society. He also taught all to fight against oppression and injustice.

The Governor further said that Guru ji's preaching inspires all to stand for equality, kindness and brotherhood. His principle of purity of mind, earning an honest living and selfless service is as relevant today as it has ever been. These ideals continue to guide all on the path of righteousness. 

Chief Minister Pema Khandu has also extended greetings and best wishes on the auspicious occasion of Guru Nanak Jayanti also known as Gurpurab by the Sikhs across the world.

“Along with our Sikh brothers and sisters let’s celebrate the historic day with great fervor and collective spirit and effort while asserting the message of morality, hard work and truth inherent in the preaching of Guru Nanak,” said Khandu in a message here this evening.

He expressed optimism that the holy festival would broaden the vision and thoughts of the people and accept everyone as friends no matter to which religion or place they belong.
