ITANAGAR, Jan 18:Air Commodore MK Gupta, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Tezpur called on Governor BD Mishra at Raj Bhavan today. They discussed issues related to Air Force fighter pilots combat proficiency and the need for weapon firing practices.

The AOC cited the example of Kargil war where in our IAF fighter pilots caused heavy causalities on the Pakistan infiltrators and that could happen due to good firing practice which our pilots had.

Sharing his concern regarding the Ziro ALG, which he visited on 12th January 2018, the Governor emphasised that the ALG must be completed in all aspects including the boundary wall. He advised the Air Commodore to progress the infrastructure by liaisoning with the district administration for other Indian Air Force projects in the State as well.

Earlier, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Tezpur briefed the Governor on various Air Force infrastructure and upcoming projects in the State.
