SEPPA, Dec 5:

East Kameng district is engulfed in election fever from the day of announcement of by-election to the 12th Pakke Kessang (ST) Assembly Constituency.

As reported by the Election Office, all total four nomination papers were filed, two each by Biyuram Wahge and Kameng Dolo from BJP and INC party respectively. On scrutiny, the nomination papers were found to be correct and their candidacies were accepted.

Meanwhile, in order to take stock of the preparedness of the by-poll, General Observer (ECI) M Joy Singh convened a review meeting with East Kameng DC-cum-DEO and RO Rajeev Takuk and SP Vikas Kumar. DEM Plan, EVMs, status of polling stations, trainings and randomization of polling personnel, among others were reviewed and discussed in the meeting.

 

EACs Pama Bagang and Atin Padung, DySP S Norbu Paichelupa, CO (EM) Takam Nicholas, CDPO-cum-ECO D K Thungon, ADI-cum-Nodal Officer Nondo Doka and other election officials were also present in the meeting.
