AALO, Aug 4:In connection with the Lower Siang District issue including others, a joint meeting of Galo Students’ Union, Galo Peoples Front and Galo Youth Organisation along with all Federal Units was held today at Galo Welfare Society (GWS) Office, Itanagar.

After threadbare discussion the house unanimously decided to launch indefinite Non-Cooperation Movement against the State Government on August 11 next in Nari-Koyu , Likabali and Basar till the posting of DC and SP is made at temporary headquarters Likabali.

However the Galo Students’ Union has decided to withdraw its earlier stand of boycotting the Independence Day celebration.

Later, the house also strongly appealed to the Chief Minister to direct the police to immediately arrest the culprit behind the murder of one Late Migrik Lomi who was found dead in mysterious condition at her rental room at Lekhi Village, Naharlagun on July 31 last.

It was also decided in the meeting to organize a five -day long voluntary donation camp in collaboration with Royal Arunachal Riders, Decant Souls MC and Green Pioneers in both Naharlagun and Itanagar in aid of the fire victims of Tadin Village from August 7 to 11 next and it has appealed all sections of society to support the cause.
