ITANAGAR, Oct 12:While welcoming the state government’s decision to hand over the PDS scam case to the central bureau of investigation (CBI), Green Arunachal Foundation Chairman Takam Tatung demanded that the Hydro Power project scam wherein MoS for Home, Kiren Rijiju’s name had surfaced should also be treated at par and handed over to CBI.

Appreciating the CM move, Former APPSU president, Tatung pointed that all scams must be treated as equal and opined that handing over the Hydro Power Project scam to CBI would be like an accomplishment of the BJP’s promise to end corruption.

In a press statement, Tatung also announced that along with many of the former leaders of All Arunachal Pradesh Students’ Union (AAPSU), he would be boycotting the forthcoming Golden Jubilee celebration of the union at Indira Gandhi Park, Itanagar on October 15 next.

Further accusing Rijiju for conferring electoral rights to 1400 Chakmas for electoral gain, Tatung said that Rijiju will never understand the sentiments of the students’ body as he has never been associated with AAPSU, who has been fighting on the Chakma-Hajong refugee issue since many decades.
