PASIGHAT Oct 7:

As part of the AAPSU Golden Jubilee Celebrations, a one-day Talk session with the former AAPSU leaders and an inter-college essay writing competition was held at JN College, Pasighat on October 5 last.

The Talk session on contemporary socio-political issues with focal points on Education, Refugee issue, Inter-state boundary issue etc was held to invite suggestions from the former leaders as well as to have an open discussion regarding these important subject matters.

The first session moderated by NESO Chief Coordinator, Pritam Waii Sonam saw active participation of former MP Nyodek Yomgam, Former Minister Eken Riba, Tokbom Borang, Tage Lapung, Goge Sora and Okom Yosung as panellists. The second half moderated by Dr. Tayuk Sonam, VP (Pro) of AAPSU saw participation of Gumjum Haider, Takam Tatung, Tujum Poyom, Biru Nasi, Kamta Lapung in the panel.

The inter-college essay writing competition which was also held simultaneously with the talk session saw participation of hundreds of students in the JNC campus.

Results of the competition were declared on the very same day. Miss Nonlee Wangsa, Miss Mary Nyodu and  Miss Kalung Mamung, all from JNC, Pasighat bagged the first, second and third prize respectively.

 

The entire talk session and the inter-college essay writing competition was organized by Secretary Debate & Symposium, AAPSU, Marli Kamki and Miyo Tayeng, Federal Deputy Speaker, AAPSU as Organizing Secretary & Joint Organizing secretary respectively.
