AALO, Nov 20:A two-day fish farmers training and demonstration programme cum stakeholders meet organize by the Department of Fisheries was held in the Training Hall of DFDO Office, West Siang District on November 16-17 last. More than 25 trainees from different circles of the district participated in the programme.

Deputy Commissioner West Siang, Swetika Sachan during the inaugural session exhorted the fish farmers to keep themselves abreast with latest technologies focusing on commercial fish farming to improve rural economy. She also stressed on sustainable fisheries and adoption of modern technology in fish breeding.

 Deputy Director of Fisheries, Tagi Yonggam including progressive fish farmers explained about fishery activities and its benefits.
