ROING, Mar 19:
Acting on a complaint about the sale of expired medicines and goods in the Shantipur area here, a team led by CO Parbuk, Sanjay Taram conducted a raid in about 20 shops and 2 pharmacies in the area. During the raid it was found that large quantities of expired medicines and goods were kept in the shops, which was seized by the team.
The Circle Officer said that the pharmacists were giving medicines to patients without having any license to practise and even without any prescription from doctors. He further informed that a report has been submitted to the District Administration and action will be taken as per the provisions of the law.
A police team led by OC Shantipur SI M. Koyu supported by representatives of Dibang Adi Students Union led by Yapok Saring carried out the raid.
